Seasoned Privacy Policy
Effective 21 July 2026
Seasoned is designed as a private recipe library. It does not sell recipe content or personal data. Some optional online features use service providers, as explained below.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for Seasoned is Jasper van Rooijen, the Netherlands. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to jaspervanrooijen1@hotmail.com.
2. Information processed
Your library
Recipes, recipe images, personal edits, cooking notes, favourites, meal plans, grocery lists and cookbook settings are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, Apple may sync this information through your private iCloud database. Seasoned has no user account and the developer cannot browse your private iCloud library.
Recipe imports
When you import a public recipe website, Seasoned requests that page to prepare an editable draft. A TikTok import uses the shared caption and TikTok's public oEmbed preview where available. Instagram pages are not scraped; an Instagram import uses only the link and caption explicitly provided through sharing. Seasoned does not remotely download TikTok or Instagram videos. A local image, PDF or video is processed only when you explicitly select or share that file with Seasoned.
AI-assisted processing
When a user imports a recipe from a photo or text, or requests an AI estimate or change proposal, the relevant recipe text, OCR text, selected image and/or recipe ingredients and steps are sent through the Seasoned Cloudflare Worker to its configured generative-AI provider. This is used only to complete the requested feature. The app does not send recipe content in the background.
Speech and photos
Seasoned accesses the camera or photo library only after you choose to take or select a recipe photo. Microphone and speech-recognition access is requested only when you choose to dictate a cooking note or process a file you explicitly shared. Apple may process speech under its own terms. Seasoned stores the resulting text, not a continuous microphone recording.
Recipe sharing
When you choose “Share with a Seasoned user”, the recipe text, source attribution and edits, but not the hero image, are uploaded to Cloudflare under a long random identifier. Anyone with the unlisted link can retrieve the recipe. The transfer record expires automatically after 30 days. Do not share a recipe unless you created it or are permitted to share it.
Advertising and purchases
Free users may see native ads provided by Google AdMob. Google's User Messaging Platform requests the choices required in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, Google may use the advertising identifier for personalised advertising. If you decline, ads can still be contextual or non-personalised. Advertising is not loaded for users with an active ad-removal entitlement. Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions through StoreKit; Seasoned receives entitlement status, not payment-card details.
Support and website
If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you include. The marketing, privacy and support pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process standard server information such as IP address, browser and request time. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

4. Service providers and international transfers
Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by Apple (iCloud, StoreKit and Speech), Google (AdMob and consent management), Cloudflare (temporary recipe links), GitHub (website hosting), and the source website or TikTok endpoint used for an import. Some providers operate outside the EEA and rely on their applicable transfer safeguards. Their own privacy notices also apply.
5. Retention
- Local and iCloud content remains until you delete it or your Apple storage retains a backup.
- Share-extension files are temporary and removed after import processing.
- Unlisted recipe-transfer records expire after 30 days.
- Support email is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete recipes in the app, manage iCloud in iOS Settings, change advertising consent when the Google privacy-options form is available, and change tracking permission in iOS Settings. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send a request to jaspervanrooijen1@hotmail.com. Include a shared-recipe link if you want its temporary server copy removed. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.
7. Children
Seasoned is not directed to children under 13. Users who are not old enough to enter into a contract in their country should use Seasoned only with permission from a parent or guardian. Seasoned is not submitted to Apple's Kids category.
8. Security and changes
Seasoned uses platform security, HTTPS and bounded temporary storage. No online service is completely risk-free. Material changes to this policy will be published here with a new effective date.

Seasoned is ontworpen als privé-receptenbibliotheek. Seasoned verkoopt geen receptinhoud of persoonsgegevens. Sommige optionele online functies gebruiken dienstverleners, zoals hieronder uitgelegd.

2. Welke informatie wordt verwerkt
Je bibliotheek
Recepten, receptfoto's, persoonlijke wijzigingen, kooknotities, favorieten, weekplanningen, boodschappenlijsten en kookboekinstellingen staan op je apparaat. Wanneer iCloud beschikbaar is, kan Apple deze informatie synchroniseren via je privé-iCloud-database. Seasoned heeft geen gebruikersaccount en de ontwikkelaar kan je privé-iCloud-bibliotheek niet bekijken.
Recepten importeren
Wanneer je een openbare receptensite importeert, vraagt Seasoned die pagina op om een aanpasbaar concept te maken. Een TikTok-import gebruikt de gedeelde beschrijving en, indien beschikbaar, TikToks openbare oEmbed-preview. Instagram-pagina's worden niet gescrapt; een Instagram-import gebruikt alleen de link en beschrijving die via delen worden aangeleverd. Seasoned downloadt niet op afstand video's van TikTok of Instagram. Een lokale afbeelding, pdf of video wordt alleen verwerkt wanneer je dat bestand zelf selecteert of met Seasoned deelt.
Verwerking met AI
Wanneer je een recept importeert vanaf een foto of tekst, of een AI-schatting of wijzigingsvoorstel opvraagt, worden de relevante recepttekst, OCR-tekst, geselecteerde afbeelding en/of ingrediënten en stappen via de Seasoned Cloudflare Worker naar de geconfigureerde generatieve-AI-provider gestuurd. Dit gebeurt alleen om de gevraagde functie uit te voeren. De app stuurt geen receptinhoud op de achtergrond.
Spraak en foto's
Seasoned gebruikt camera of fotobibliotheek pas nadat je een receptfoto maakt of kiest. Toegang tot microfoon en spraakherkenning wordt alleen gevraagd wanneer je een kooknotitie inspreekt of een bestand verwerkt dat je zelf hebt gedeeld. Apple kan spraak onder eigen voorwaarden verwerken. Seasoned bewaart de uitgeschreven tekst, niet een doorlopende microfoonopname.
Recepten delen
Wanneer je kiest voor “Delen met een Seasoned-gebruiker”, worden de recepttekst, bronvermelding en wijzigingen, zonder omslagfoto, met een lange willekeurige code naar Cloudflare geüpload. Iedereen met de niet-vermelde link kan het recept ophalen. Het overdrachtsrecord verloopt automatisch na 30 dagen. Deel alleen recepten die je zelf hebt gemaakt of die je mag delen.
Advertenties en aankopen
Gratis gebruikers kunnen native advertenties van Google AdMob zien. Googles User Messaging Platform vraagt in de EER, het VK en Zwitserland om de benodigde keuzes. Als je via Apples App Tracking Transparency toestemming geeft voor tracking, kan Google de advertentie-ID gebruiken voor gepersonaliseerde advertenties. Als je weigert, kunnen nog steeds contextuele of niet-gepersonaliseerde advertenties worden getoond. Bij een actief recht om advertenties te verwijderen wordt de advertentiedienst niet geladen. Apple verwerkt aankopen en abonnementen via StoreKit; Seasoned ontvangt de aankoopstatus, niet je betaalkaartgegevens.
Support en website
Als je support mailt, ontvangt de ontwikkelaar je e-mailadres en wat je zelf meestuurt. De marketing-, privacy- en supportpagina's worden gehost via GitHub Pages. GitHub kan standaard serverinformatie verwerken, zoals IP-adres, browser en tijdstip van het verzoek. De website gebruikt geen advertentie- of analysecookies.

4. Dienstverleners en doorgifte
Afhankelijk van de functies die je gebruikt, kunnen gegevens worden verwerkt door Apple (iCloud, StoreKit en Speech), Google (AdMob en toestemmingsbeheer), Cloudflare en de door de Seasoned Worker gebruikte generatieve-AI-provider, GitHub (websitehosting), en de bronwebsite of TikTok-endpoint dat voor een import wordt gebruikt. Sommige partijen werken buiten de EER en gebruiken hun toepasselijke doorgiftewaarborgen. Hun eigen privacybeleid geldt daarnaast.
5. Bewaartermijnen
- Lokale en iCloud-inhoud blijft staan totdat je die verwijdert of Apple nog een back-up bewaart.
- Bestanden uit de deeluitbreiding zijn tijdelijk en worden na de importverwerking verwijderd.
- Niet-vermelde receptoverdrachten verlopen na 30 dagen.
- Supportmail blijft alleen bewaard zolang dat nodig is voor het verzoek en wettelijke verplichtingen.
6. Je keuzes en rechten
Je kunt recepten in de app aanpassen of verwijderen, iCloud beheren in de iOS-instellingen, advertentietoestemming aanpassen wanneer Googles privacyopties beschikbaar zijn en tracking beheren in iOS-instellingen. Afhankelijk van waar je woont kun je verzoeken om inzage, correctie, verwijdering, beperking of overdraagbaarheid, of bezwaar maken. Toestemming kun je intrekken zonder dat dit eerdere rechtmatige verwerking ongeldig maakt.
Stuur je verzoek naar jaspervanrooijen1@hotmail.com. Voeg een gedeelde receptlink toe als je de tijdelijke serverkopie wilt laten verwijderen. Je kunt ook een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens of je lokale toezichthouder.
7. Kinderen
Seasoned is niet gericht op kinderen jonger dan 13 jaar. Wie in het eigen land nog niet zelfstandig een overeenkomst mag sluiten, mag Seasoned alleen gebruiken met toestemming van een ouder of voogd. Seasoned wordt niet aangeboden in Apples Kids-categorie.
8. Beveiliging en wijzigingen
Seasoned gebruikt platformbeveiliging, HTTPS en begrensde tijdelijke opslag. Geen enkele online dienst is zonder risico. Belangrijke wijzigingen worden hier gepubliceerd met een nieuwe ingangsdatum.
